The ÐÇ¿ÕÓéÀÖ¹ÙÍø Foundation is the go-to nonprofit authorized by Congress to mobilize philanthropic partners and private-sector resources to support ÐÇ¿ÕÓéÀÖ¹ÙÍø's critical health protection mission. Since 1995, the ÐÇ¿ÕÓéÀÖ¹ÙÍø Foundation has raised over $2.2 billion and launched more than 1,400 programs impacting a variety of health threats from chronic disease conditions including cardiovascular disease and cancer, to infectious diseases like rotavirus and HIV, to emergency responses, including COVID-19 and Ebola. The ÐÇ¿ÕÓéÀÖ¹ÙÍø Foundation managed hundreds of programs in the United States and in 77 countries last year.

Because ÐÇ¿ÕÓéÀÖ¹ÙÍø is a federal agency, all scientific findings resulting from ÐÇ¿ÕÓéÀÖ¹ÙÍø research are available to the public and open to the broader scientific community for review. Funding for ÐÇ¿ÕÓéÀÖ¹ÙÍø's work provided through the ÐÇ¿ÕÓéÀÖ¹ÙÍø Foundation is not contingent on the outcomes of research or other scientific activity being favorable to one or more partners. The ÐÇ¿ÕÓéÀÖ¹ÙÍø Foundation works with ÐÇ¿ÕÓéÀÖ¹ÙÍø to ensure that programs will have a meaningful impact for ÐÇ¿ÕÓéÀÖ¹ÙÍø and public health, and complement ÐÇ¿ÕÓéÀÖ¹ÙÍø's priorities and ongoing work.
