Noah Aleshire, JD is the acting director for ÐÇ¿ÕÓéÀÖ¹ÙÍø’s Office of Policy, Performance, and Evaluation (OPPE).

Role at ÐÇ¿ÕÓéÀÖ¹ÙÍø
As acting director of OPPE, Aleshire is responsible for enhancing ÐÇ¿ÕÓéÀÖ¹ÙÍø's effectiveness in improving policy, planning, and evaluation to address and support cross-cutting issues while leveraging ÐÇ¿ÕÓéÀÖ¹ÙÍø's collective influence to improve public health.
In his regular role, Aleshire serves as ÐÇ¿ÕÓéÀÖ¹ÙÍø's chief regulatory officer where he leads the agency's regulatory strategy and coordination.
Previous experience
Aleshire previously served as the associate director for policy at ÐÇ¿ÕÓéÀÖ¹ÙÍø's Public Health Infrastructure Center (2023) and ÐÇ¿ÕÓéÀÖ¹ÙÍø's Center for Surveillance, Epidemiology, and Laboratory Services (2020-2023). He served multiple deployments through the COVID-19 and mpox emergency responses in a range of policy and data policy leadership roles. Aleshire was the agency's first senior policy advisor for the Office of Laboratory Science and Safety where he helped senior leadership prepare for appearances before congressional oversight committees on laboratory safety and cybersecurity and led activities to translate laboratory safety data into evidence-based policy recommendations.
Aleshire began his career at ÐÇ¿ÕÓéÀÖ¹ÙÍø in the National Center for Injury Prevention and Control, where he was one of the first full-time policy staff dedicated to ÐÇ¿ÕÓéÀÖ¹ÙÍø's growing opioid overdose prevention program. He has also served as an attorney in ÐÇ¿ÕÓéÀÖ¹ÙÍø's Office of General Counsel.
