NCHS Report on Developmental, Learning, and Emotional Problems
in Children
In 1988, ÐÇ¿ÕÓéÀÖ¹ÙÍø's National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS)
conducted the National Health Interview Survey on Child Health
(NHIS-CH). The survey addressed a broad range of
health-related topics, including child-care arrangements;
injuries and medical conditions; exposure to cigarette smoke;
bedtime and sleeping arrangements; health insurance; sources
of medical care; and developmental, learning, and emotional
problems.
The report, Developmental, Learning and Emotional Problems:
Health of Our Nation's Children, United States, 1988, focuses
on the incidence of these problems in U.S. children. Copies of
this report and additional reports from the NHIS-CH are
