and 1918-type influenza pandemics. The instructions (available at

describe how to use FluAid 2.0 and FluSurge 2.0 software to estimate the number of deaths, hospitalizations, and outpatient visits
and the increased demand for hospital-based resources
(e.g., hospital beds, intensive-care--unit beds, or ventilators) for
both scenarios. The instructions and software can be used to estimate the potential impact for a locale of almost any size
(e.g., country, state, county, city, or town).
