Role at ÐÇ¿ÕÓéÀÖ¹ÙÍø

Sascha Chaney has been the associate director for policy for the National Center on Birth Defects and Disabilities (NCBDDD) since August 2015. In this capacity she is responsible for leading the Office of Policy, Partnerships & Strategy (OPPS) for NCBDDD. OPPS manages NCBDDD’s annual budget formulation, partnership engagement, and policy activities. Ms. Chaney serves as principal advisor on legislative matters and keeps the center informed of legislative and partnership developments that may impact programmatic work.

Previous experience

Prior to joining NCBDDD, Ms. Chaney served as the NCEH/ATSDR associate director for policy. She joined ÐÇ¿ÕÓéÀÖ¹ÙÍø in 2000 as a legislative and policy analyst and has been working on ÐÇ¿ÕÓéÀÖ¹ÙÍø policy activities for more than 24 years.

Education

Ms. Chaney holds a bachelor of arts degree in political science from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana.
