Several organizations capture information on housing status or homelessness in the U.S.
- The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's Point-in-Time (PIT) Count is conducted each year in communities across the U.S. Information is collected and a count is taken of sheltered and unsheltered people experiencing homelessness on a single night, typically in January.
