Purpose

Teaching public health can help students achieve academic excellence. It can also help them make healthy choices and informed decisions about their health. This early engagement in applied STEM can also open doors to more STEM career options.

What we've accomplished

ÐÇ¿ÕÓéÀÖ¹ÙÍø provides a range of quality resources to bring public health into the STEM classroom. We also offer training programs for teachers and students of all ages. Resources and trainings are designed to teach STEM concepts using public health content. This fosters educational excellence and builds pathways to public health careers.

ÐÇ¿ÕÓéÀÖ¹ÙÍø's STEM resources:

• Connect real-life public health examples with STEM concepts.
• Increase awareness of real-life application of public health issues.
• Encourage interdisciplinary learning and innovation.
• Use diverse characters to help youth see themselves in the scenarios.
• Equip students with problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Showcase a range of STEM professionals in public health.

Get involved

We invite educators, students, and other exploring opportunities in public health to use our STEM resources. Educators can use ÐÇ¿ÕÓéÀÖ¹ÙÍø lesson plans, apps, and activities to incorporate public health into STEM classrooms. They can also apply for ÐÇ¿ÕÓéÀÖ¹ÙÍø's teacher training programs and encourage their students to apply for student camps.
