Data Sources
Data for Healthy People 2030 (HP2030) come from more than 80 data systems. Most are federal, including many HHS agencies (including NCHS, ÐÇ¿ÕÓéÀÖ¹ÙÍø, AHRQ, HRSA, NIH, FDA, and SAMHSA) as well as non-HHS agencies (including USDA; EPA; the Departments of Justice, Labor, Education, and Transportation; and the US Census Bureau).
HP2030 data sources went through a selection process and generally met rigorous criteria including:
- Nationally representative
- Publicly available
- Known population coverage, response rates, and documentation completeness
These criteria ensure transparency of the initiative and allow for replication of findings.
